"It works good but it does not stay in the clip and so I had to get two because if the new one gets damaged I have a spare. Look at the damage as it did not stay in the clip all the time and the new one says to be about an inch away from the wall and that gives the wrong temp for us so I moved it out and it seems to be better temp reading nowbut still facing the wall."

I did not realize the

"I did not realize the probe could not take sear heat. I bought a replacement probe and moved it higher inside the Masterbuilt 800. I has been through some full cooks including sears. Working still. Would like a higher temp probe that I could place on the main grate but I don't think you have that."

"I've now burned up 2 of these high temp air probes. I cook by smoking on a wood fire grill. Occasionally my temps can get to 600F as I add wood. I keep the probe away from the flames but they still stop working at that temp if exposed even for a few seconds. I sure wish they were more rugged."

"I have at least 10 diff probes total out of all the ones I have and use only one has gone bad just from excessive use it was probably five years old. The people that have constant trouble with them must be from abuse. I use mine on a stick burner and a green egg. Never have had issues with your products. Like everything, ya need to take care of them ."
