It just doesn't work!
"I have been a big fan of ThermoWorks for a long time and really wanted to like the ThermaQ WiFi kit. Unfortunately it doesn't do what it is supposed to do. The WiFi connection has turned off every time I have used the kit. Then I receive error messages and the entire unit locks up and stays on the same temperature. It feels like I am working with a prototype that should not have been released until finalized. I am going to look for another option out in the market since this is a great concept but for now I end up having to use my Thermopen to check on the temp."
worth the money
"Great investment to insure accurate temperatures while grilling or smoking (meat). I did experience a big flare up and it damaged one of the probes at 638 degrees. It was engulfed in the flare up due to me not paying attention."

Doesn't work as good as hoped
"I love my other ThermoWorks equipment but the WiFi ThermaQ is not what I had hoped, I always have to reestablish my connection, sometimes it just doesn't connect so I use it as a standalone unit. I would have been better off just getting the Bluetooth version. I wasn't impressed with the app on my phone either, it pretty plain with no cool features."

"I bought this kit so I could monitor my pit and meat while away from home on errands. It has surpassed my expectations in monitoring and with wifi connectivity I can do errands. This device also improved my smoking in my BGE because my BGE thermometer was reading 50 degrees F higher than the actual temp. Also, the cables are thin enough that I have no air/smoke leakage around the seal with the BGE. I plan on taking this with me camping while smoking meat. This unit will see serve monitoring my brew kettle during a batch of beer. Eventually I will add a second unit tony tool box, possibly the blue-tooth version for more flexibility. Awesome ThermoWorks!!!"
