Works well as a thermometer
"We get a lot of power outages, so wanted a way to know what temperature my chest freezer full of meat would be without having to open it. I put one probe near the bottom, below some meat and one probe at the top of the meat pile. Works great as a thermometer. I haven't setup the alarm function. The magnets are a little weak, but I just tapped it to the exterior. I also like that the wires are very thin, I held them in place with electrical tape and they do not impact the seal of the freezer at all."
Just ok
"I guess coming from Thermoworks I was expecting better. They do what they say they’ll do, they just feel and look cheap. I bought two at 50% off, I wouldn’t buy these at full price."
Total Junk
"Completely useless. The alarm is quick to go off if you spend more than 10 seconds with the door open, but will silence itself after some unknown amount of time. Lost my entire freezer of meat. I discovered the freezer door didn’t shut all the way when I came home and saw meat juice all over the garage floor. The alarm is too quiet to hear from inside the house. A freezer alarm should never silence itself, if anything it should get louder over time."
Works great but ugly
"The system works very good, I just don't like the wires and may choose to order individual thermometers to go in the refrigerator and freezer, but I'll take some time with this unit before deciding. I mean it works great it's just the wires don't look good."
The wires snap easily
"I've used this model for over five years on my home refrigerator, and I've been entirely happy with its performance. However, I've gone through two of them in that time, because the probes get ripped off by my drawer-style freezer-the wire just snaps. I haven't caught it in the act, but I'm pretty sure the force required to close the drawer is greater than the force required to break the wire, and if the wire gets caught up in any way, that's the end of that. I wish the wires would attach with plugs, so that they could pull out instead of breaking, or that they used heavier-gauge wire. I will buy a third one of these when they're back in stock, but I wish they'd last longer."
RV Refrigerator
"I use the 2-channel refrigerator/freezer thermometer in or RV due to the frig is a 12VDC unit that if there is an interruption in the parks utility power I will need to reduce the amount of power the frig uses to conserve the battery and still keep the food cold and safe to eat. This was a great investment and worked really well."
How Cold is It?
"Being curious about how cold the freezer part of my RV fridge was I bout this thermometer so I could not only monitor the freezer but the fridge too. The leads are long enough and thin enough to let you just open the door and put the temperature sender inside each compartment. This thermometer is accurate too. I checked it against a calibrated thermometer and it was spot on."
Inaccurate and not reliable
"Unfortunately this does not provide accurate readings. Off by about 5+ degrees. This product has one job to do and it fails. Not reliable, would not recommend this product as a result."
Works great
"Works like a champ. Use it to monitor 2 different cooler temps at Farmer's Markets"
Doesn't stick
"I got this 5 months ago (Christmas 2024). The suction cups never worked on either my refrigerator or freezer walls, so the sensors are just dangling precariously from shelves. The magnets were always weak, but yesterday one of them quit holding entirely causing the unit to slide down the door. Now I have nowhere to put it so it's pretty useless. Before that I really appreciated being able glance at the temperature readings to make sure everything was okay. I can't say that I messed around with much programming other than setting my maximums. I may be able to rig something up, but I'm pretty disappointed."
